In this conclusion of the Folk Hour's two part tribute to the Civil War, the show features the remaining 10 songs from The 1861 Project, a compilation of 17 original songs about the people and events of the Civil War. Produced by Nashville songwriter Thomm Jutz, The 1861 Project contains heartfelt tunes of this epic period of American history.

The American Civil War comes to life on this edition of The Chattahoochee Folk Hour, featuring The 1861 Project, a compilation of original songs written and produced by Nashville singer/songwriter Thomm Jutz. In this show, host Ralph Taylor interviews Thomm about this amazing project, which tells the stories of fictional characters (and some non-fiction) and their experiences during the War Between the States. The Chattahoochee Folk Hour Tribute to Folk Alliance, 2012

In this episode, host Ralph Taylor discusses his recent trip to the 2012 conference of the International Folk Alliance in Memphis Tennessee, and pays tribute to the various artists who pursue 'this thing called folk music'.
